Born and raised in Chicago,Il (via Hazelcrest). Songwriter,model,actor and Gospel recording artist. He was the National 2nd place winner for Today's Black Woman Magazine 2005 "Man of The Year". That award was given to Donny for being a valuable African American role model. He has written songs for Universal MCA and Zomba Publishing.

He also has his own publishing Company "D'Amazingworks Music". His hobbies include all sports, singing, fishing, modeling and helping the youth in his community. In 2003 Donny Jones starred in the musical stage play "A Man That Finds A Wife Finds A Good Thing", where he acted and sang into the hearts of his audience(DVD by request). Also in 2006 he starred in the hit stage play "The Choice is Yours" in which he also wrote and recorded the soundtrack.

In 2005, Donny was proclaimed best actor and singer for his role as "Sam Cooke" in the musical stage play "Soultry Singin Men of Soul" and much much more....

Donny Jones is also a founding member of the "We are Concerned" organization, a non for profit organization structured for nursing home residents and world literacy in all communities and churches, teaching literacy and organizing fundraisers for the elderly to be entertained.

Raised in ministry first within the home(father a minister and mother a missionary)exposed him to spiritual warfare at an early age, from singing in the choir to mandatory praise and worship. The psalmist knows and understands that GOD is GOD all by himself. He also realizes that we are all instruments of God's praise and are kept by his grace and mercy.
