Album Notes

Don Pardee is a Milwaukee-based singer/songwriter who has been performing in folk venues for years. He has performed at SummerFest, one of the largest musical events in North America. The “House Blend” CD was recorded in preparation for a gig at the Coffee House, a small café where lots of folksingers perform.

His finger-picking style has some James Taylor, Emily Saliers, and Paul Simon influences, and his singing is clear and genuine. Music theory he learned at the University of Connecticut comes into play in the bass and keyboard parts on the album.

You’ll like the poetry of the phrases and the images that they evoke. It is truly a blend of his best songs.
