Album Notes

Don Stephens - songwriter, vocals, guitar, banjo, piano, harmonica, mandolin, bass pedals. Don grew up in the Midwest, but currently resides in San Antonio Texas where he plays solo performances as well as played in several local bands. The style of Don's music can be best characterized as acoustic. His lyrics are crafted to paint pictures of places, situations, and relationships with a twist of irony and veiled meanings. Stephen's influences are deeply rooted in the music of Neil Young, Tom Waits, and Bob Dylan. Many of Don's songs are based on adventures and experiences, some real and some too outrageous to be possible, that occurred along Midwestern streets, sidewalks, and back alleys.
