Album Notes

Doron Braunshtein (also known as) Apollo Braun 2006 released poetry book "America, my whore" is coming to life in these 2 heart opening, emotional and expressive spoken word CDs which contain 50 poems that Braunshtein chose to read in his so unique way. "This is not just me reading my poetry," Doron Braunshtein says about these 2 spoken word CDs, "This is me telling a story about a journey of a young man who comes to a foreign land all alone and is discovering himself, losing himself and then finding himself. It is a story about a struggle, about learning, about love and hate, dispair and hope, a craving for a validation, for recognition, and on the way, for some human touch.
These poems are to me not just words, but more a kind of a tattoo on my skin: a large, colorfull tattoo with the words 'New York City' written all over it".
