---BIO---

SUMMARY:
Bought a computer. Bought a guitar. Sold some stuff. Bought some software. Made music. There you go.

THE WHOLE BANANA:

In 1998 in El Paso, TX, I began modestly with some friends by forming the band SLEX, playing an eclectic brew of hardcore guitar with dance-beat style live drums. Soon after, "creative differences" (a.k.a. "personality problems") caused half of SLEX to break away and form AISLING.

Around the same time, I began to become increasingly intrigued by Electronica, and began digging deeply into the endlessly surprising world of electronic music.

We carried AISLING decently far, sharing stages with wonderful artists such as DREDG and CODESEVEN, and recording an EP with producer Steve Kravac, who has worked with Tsunami Bomb, MXPX, and Blink 182, to scratch the surface. After remastering and tweaking several songs I had written over the years, I began working on new material to create a buffer of music from which I could begin weaving an album, in several songs drawing on my background in guitar to add a human touch to the mechanical madness. My focus on intricacy of melody versus rhythm, combined with a rock-like song structure allows me to continually challenge myself. Not one to use preset sounds, I prefer to create my own patches and instrumentation and effect samples beyond recognition, with very few exceptions.

With an increasing interest in sampling and naturally occurring aural textures, the future can only bring more intricate and engaging results...

REVIEWS

quite melodic electronica
author: Lori
This cd keeps it simple, yet melodic while weaving trippy electronic rhythms throughout. It keeps your attention, yet lets you chill. A good outing, especially for a first time solo effort. The title of the album and the songs are appropriate and meaningful once you hear it. Recommended.

Not bad
author: Miles
I like what I hear and I cannot help but think of other electronic/Alt artists such as Cell 7 from Australia, Dada Pogrom, Peaches, Vanity Beach and and old tennor stuff.
