Album Notes

Once upon a time, there was a homeless man who lived in the park, drank beer, played guitar, and sang to the moon. Folks in the desert came to know this lonesome wolf as the Moondog...a tall, strange fellow who sat out on street corners singing his funny and outlandish songs to anybody who would lend an ear. His hunger for a bigger audience grew, so Moondog decided to clean up his act, put together a band and began playing at the local saloons.....And so was born the Dog of the Moon.

Dog of the Moon is the stage name of singer/songwriter Aaron Carl Swensen of Phoenix, Arizona. Inspired by the musical legends of Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan and Neil Young, Dog of the Moon specializes in his own cosmic blend of 'Country Folk Rock with an Outlaw Hippie Attitude'. His collection of original tunes range from slow, reflective ballads (Think I'll Lose My Mind, Dog on a Leash), to mid-tempo country ramblers(The Drunkard's Way, Crazy on Lazy Days), to heavy, outrageous rockers(Boogie in the Madhouse, Get Outta My Head). Upon hearing Dog of the Moon, one may recall a time long ago when life was simpler, people were friendlier, and the music was much more meaningful.

Do not pass up this exciting opportunity to let the Dog of the Moon work his magic on you....

There isn't a single track on there that I don't love. Everyone of them I can relate to or know of someone they remind me of. Great music, total talent! I can't wait for the next one.

Fun to listen too. More solos needed. The dog is a good guitar player, needs to show off his guitar skills alittle more. Band is tight, lyrics are a downer, but he has lived the life. Can't wait to hear more.
