Singer/songwriter Dottie Burman has gained critical acclaim performing her witty songs in cabarets, theaters and for organizations as a professional speaker with a musical message. The album was named "One of the Top Cabaret CDs of the year" by Barbara and Scott Siegel in InTheater Magazine.

This CD is delightful listening and/or a source of new material for other singers, many of whom who are currently performing Dottie's songs. In the past these songs have been heard at the MAC/ASCAP Songwriter's Workshops, the New York Sheet Music Society, the Cabaret Convention and the O'Neil Cabaret Symposium.

The comedy song "Have a Nice Day" won the "I Can't Get You Out of My Head" award from Stu Hamstra, editor of Cabaret Hotline Online. "One Step Ahead" was named "Outstanding Country Song" by the Beaux Arts Society. Dottie has been named a Distinguished Artist of the society.
