Album Notes

Doublewide was born in Salt Lake City in the year 2000, a result of the famous Salt Lake City punkrock era of the 80’s. Doublewide began playing live shows and three months later won the SXSW road to Austin contest, besting over 40 other bands from the state and winning 2 showcases at SXSW in Austin Texas. Following the SXSW win Doublewide followed up their success with the “Best new Band in Utah” award and both CitySearch’s “#1 editors pick” and DigitalCity’s “Best Unsigned Band” awards. They also won a “Slammy” for best new band in Utah. After a few lineup changes, Doublewide’s lead singer moved to Portland Oregon, and the Doublewide legacy continues to this day in the City of Roses. Doublewide has shared the stage with the likes of Nickleback, (It’s unlikely those two bands will ever put their fans in the same arena again) Hank III, The Supersuckers, Nashville pussy, Southern Culture on The Skids, and many more. Equal parts ROCK-n-ROLL, COUNTRY, and PUNK, Doublewide is a whiskey drinkin, bar brawlin 600 pound gorilla with a highly developed taste for the pale tender flesh of emo kids, candyass Nashville pencil-necked popstars, and hippy jam bands. It’s supposed to be fun. It\'s supposed to be wild. It\'s supposed to make you want to fight that loudmouth jackass wearing his stupid sunglasses at night in the bar, make you drink whiskey out of the bottle, chase totally crazy women you know aint no good, eat raw meat and drive really loud, really fast cars. So just lean back and let Doublewide do the drivin. They’ll show you how it\'s done. They’re professionals.
