Album Notes

Singer/songwriter/keyboardist/guitarist based in Sacramento, CA. "Silhouette" features all original music, with Eric J. Johnson (bass, guitar), Philip Howard (keyboards), Tess Bradley (lyrics, vocals) and Julia Tindall (voice).

Doughton likes pizza, beer and chateaubriand, and is a vegetarian. But I digress. His musical influences include (to name a few) Les Paul, Craig Chaquico, Mark Knopfler, John Scofield, Bill Nelson, Alan Parsons, Mickey Hart, Beatles, Enigma, Bonzo Dog, new age, celtic, trance and world music.

"This disc, along with his first CD, 'Translingo', both illustrate the positive energy a local artist can create. Described as a mix of electric jazz, New Age, and progressive rock, Doughton's electric guitar sends out a message of friendship and good will to every ear it reaches." Davis Enterprise.

"'Gatito Peligroso' is beautiful and will be heard frequently as 'voice over' music. 'Demented' and 'Night Flight' really appeal to my strangeness and will certainly find their way into the mix . . . "'Silhouette' is a nice blend of quark strangeness and charm." DJ Larry Landis, radio station KVMR, Nevada City, CA.

A review of his first CD, "Translingo:"

"This is a really nice blend of eclectic new age and jazz, smartly arranged and well mixed. His "hatha heartbeat" was choreographed and performed last May by our Pamela Trokanski Dance Theatre, and his keyboard prowess happily highlights most of the 13 tracks. The disc can be found in town. . . and makes for very upbeat listening." Davis Enterprise.

Quite possibly the best CD ever made.

First rate materials were used in the construction of this CD. Lettering on the spine is informative and legible. Innovative high-impact clear plastic jewell case is hinged on the left side to allow you to open it. As an extra added bonus, inside there's a disc with music on it.
