Inspiration Soul singer Douglas Willett is debuting his new CD “myJOURNEY" that will release in early 2009. It is a true testament of the obstacles and adversity he has faced allowing him to develop his artistry into an inspirational soul album with a contemporary feel of Gospel and R&B.
Growing up in Providence, KY he was raised in foster care where he discovered his talent of singing and touching the souls of people. At the age of 14, he did his first church solo, where he learned the power of music and inspiration. As a singer, he has been influenced by singers and songwriters like Stevie Wonder, Fred Hammond, Earth Wind and Fire, India Arie, Kirk Franklin, Brian McKnight, Diane Warren, and Kenny Edmonds.
Douglas is no ordinary vocalist that can just hit a couple of high notes. He is a seasoned vocalist with 10 years of training and music theory with a professional vocal coach. His ultimate goal is to own his own Independent publishing company and have a successful career as a signed recording artist and songwriter.
