Album Notes

Founding members Andrew Freeman and Eric Kurtzrock are joined on this recording by Brad Russell (Rick Derringer, Pat Travers, Kevin Russell) on bass, Chojo Jacques (founding member of the Waybacks, Slaid Cleeves) on mandolin and violin, Tim Hunt (Yankee Grey) on harmonies, as well as a host of San Francisco's finest musicians. High energy flatpicking, beautiful ballads, ripping mandolin...this is a fun cd.

An upbeat, toe-tapping fun CD!
author: Keith Barreca
The CD is dominated by Freeman’s smooth vocals and the superb quality of the band. Can’t help but move with the music. Especially like "If I had a Boat" and "The River". This CD is worth adding to your collection.

This album deserves heavy rotation. A great collection of tunes lined up in perfect order. The vocals are delivered by Freeman with clarity and tenderness with out being maudlin. No need for liner notes, all lyrics can be heard. Nice, sweet harmonies especially on The River. Tasty licks— these guys are hot. Fine instrumentalists and innovative arrangements that are cookin’.
