Two of the songs on the CD, Club Soda With a Lime and Ain't it the Night, had success at the INTERNATIONAL SONGWRITERS COMPETITION in the Blues Category. But the band isn't really a blues group. Still they are extremely proud of making the cut among 15,000 submissions. That's cool in any category.
Down the Deuce features two lead guitar players, bass and percussion. The music is mercurial, changes from Fearless Rock influences to tracks that just unashamedly felt right at the moment.The band has been frequently featured in magazines and newspaper articles in their home area of The Quad Cites and on Dirt Road Radio and the 97X FM morning show.
