On their debut, the harvest play it cool for the most part, all the while showing they have chops to spare when they want to. The vibe is distinctly west coast chillin mixed with east coast rhythmic solidarity on the funk soul, with a little white boy craziness for good measure. Weird, fun, danceable, and relaxed are the best words to describe this record. Highly recommended with a good natured smiley face in the sand and a shadow of mischief in the winking eye.

Awesome First Album for Talented Band

Downtown Harvest's debut album is unique and a great start for a long career to come. No two songs are alike in anyway - lyrics, melody, rhythm. They're able to create different sounds: jazz, funk, rap, rock; it's all there. My favorites are The Rubber Band Song, B.O.B. and Pretty Eyes.

A Great Band for the Ages

This album is the precursor to Golden Dragon. The album's rich funk and jazzy undertone combined with the unique vocal color create a wonderful trip to listen to. My favorite songs are B.O.B, Mega Magellon, and Mission. Shoot the whole cd's tough.

Southern Love for Downtown Harvest

Randomly wandering through MySpace, led me to Downtown Harvest. A few weeks later, CDBaby delivered on their promise and my friends and I couldn't be happier. We have been rocking out to Rattle On & Mission! I had to give 4 stars because I think this band has 5 star potential in the future. Come to Nashville!
