The cd has a great variety of music from all sorts of genres that interest me. I found a good dose of alt-country, roots rock, indie, and rock 'n roll. The songs are very catchy. The more I listen to the cd the more I like it. You can hear a wide variety of musical influences in the music. A flat out good cd.

Review of "Retirement Shuffle" from "Rock Unincorporated"

Nice song! A great toe-tapper, and something I would expect to hear on KNON or KHYI in Dallas. This band definitely has the potential to make a splash in the Texas music scene. I couldn't pin down the similarities of the vocalist to any one artist in particular, but more of a mixture of an on-key Todd Snider, Ryan Adams, and... see this is where I got lost, I was reminded of some old 70s artist or band that I couldn't place. A wonderful sound where the vocals were the emphasis. Extra Credit: Male Vocals, Melody, Beat, Mood.

Review of "Falling Up" on Garageband.com

Good Feel The guitar lick is cool. It actually takes me back to the late 80s where there was an alternative movement in pop that never truly took off so I like this direction as it was never exploited. Even the solo reminds me of Edie Brickell and the new Bohemians. Great use of a thick wah. The singer carried a good melody throughout this song and there is a good hook in the chorus that is memorable. Production and band are tight.

Review of "Cowpunk" from "Rock Unincorporated"

Loose Gasoline Alley Feel Gritty vocal cuts through a jangly guitar mix and paints a smoky, musky portrait of a crowded honky tonk somewhere out west in the pre WWII era. This is the kind of sound that inspired Dylan to hire the Band! Very live feel.
