Album Notes

Called the ‘Amish Cheerleader” or just one ‘Phat Slice O White Bred', Comedienne Pauline Williams grew up in Burns Harbor, IN at the bottom of Lake Michigan with an extremely strict American Fundamentalist upbringing. After graduating from Valparaiso University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism, she flew for the first time to the People’s Republic of China where she lived and worked for a year as a teacher of English as a Second Language in the countryside city of Wuhu, Anhui.

Upon her return, she lived and worked in the San Jose/Alameda area of California in advertising and marketing. She hosted a cable access show which she produced for the American Association of University Women called “Today’s South Bay Woman”. It was featured on three local cable access networks.

In the late 90’s, she moved to Palm Springs, CA where she was active in the community working with difficult teens through a program with Palm Springs Theatre Sports. She also performed regularly with the improv troupe, an off-shoot of the Los Angeles Theatre Sports program. The group was heavily developed and influenced by the LA program as well as sister program Bay Area Theatre Sports.

While in Palm Springs, she worked for KPSL radio, a talk radio station affiliated with Palm Springs Life Magazine. She was both an on-air personality as well as working behind the scenes producing for radio personalities Track Olympian John Carlos, Bud “Steamer” Furillo, TV Host/emcee Geoff Edwards, Dave Forman, Comedian Howard “Woody” Dean, Psychic LaVita Dillman and Interior Designer Ron Baron. Encouraged by the radio station to enter, Pauline became a contestant in the Ms. Palm Springs pageant and won first runner-up Princess.

After moving to Burbank, CA, Pauline, seeing the internet as the future, earned a second degree in eBusiness. She has continued to pursue stage interests by writing sketch shows and short films (her most recent, RED HOOD, is currently in development). She is a stand-up comedienne appearing regularly around Los Angelesand other SoCal venues. She has also written and published numerous poems. This has led to her most recent venture of having an audio poetry book recorded (available soon). Pauline is excited to be working as Host/Producer on her latest project, a syndicated radio variety show currently broadcast in 5 countries (Haiti, Canada, the Caribbean and France) and in the US on WRCI Boston am 1690. STAY TUNED!!
