Album Notes

This is what happens when the sidemen take over! The Drakes have been a band since the Fall of 2006. Comprised of sidemen in the Austin Texas music scene, this band has over 100 hundred years of music experience between them. Some of the artists these guys have played and recorded with include Walter Traggert, Sisters Morales, Billy Joe Shaver, Beaver Nelson, Alejandro Escovedo, Southbound Monarchs, Jon Dee Graham, Beth Black, Clovis, Spaceheaters, David Newbould, Troy Campbell, King Friday, Chandeliers, Ian Moore, Sue Foley, Jane Bond, True Believers, Buick MacKane, Paul Lemond, Andrew Duplantis, The Blazers, Sisters Morales, Eric Hisaw, Loose Diamonds, R.G. Stark, Blue Diamond Shine, Chrissy Flatt, Troy Campbell, Big Manny Band, Beaver Nelson, Toni Price, Marcia Ball, Nathan Hamilton, Jane Bond, Django Walker, Mudcloth Jones, Blue Recluse, Charles Alberty, Tortilla Flats, Rythm Oil, Moodrings,, Tanya Winch, Leeann Atherton, The Blackland, Converters, Sotol Cowboys, Mark Ambrose, George Ducas, Joe Jackson, Alice Cooper, Dwight Twilley Band, the Plimsouls, Penny Jo Pullus.
This album highlights not only their music ability and taste, but also their vocal prowess. All five members sing lead and backup vocals throughout this record and their live shows, which tend to be on the barn burner side of things. We hope you enjoy!
