the drastics are a roots dub reggae outfit based in chicago. blending styles ranging from hip-hop to jazz to afro-beat with roots reggae, the drastics come correct with their brand new sound ...

the drastics debut album "premonition" was released in january of 2005 on chicago label jump up records to great expectation ... the album features guest vocalists and musicians from chicago (vandell harris, prince gonzalez), boston (members of westbound train), new jersey (king django) and germany (dr. ring ding) giving the album many more flavors than expected ...

with their second album, the drastics upped the ante one more time and present to you a collaboration of 24 musicians inna 2 disc CD album. disc one contains hard dubs and instrumental versions of drastic riddims ranging from roots, rubadub, dancehall, and hiphop/reggae hybrids, while disc two features eleven vocalists including dr. ring ding, king django, todd hembrook (deals gone bad), fada dougou, zulu, and a host of mcs and vocalists from the chicago underground !
