This album is a production of the Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drug (ATOD) Prevention Program at American Indian Health and Family Services (AIHFS) in Detroit, MIchigan. All CD sales go to support youth prevention programs at AIHFS! For more than three years singers and songwriters Joe Reilly, Frank Animikwam, and Karen Schaumann have worked with the Dream Seekers Native American Youth Group at AIHFS to put their experiences and dreams into traditional and contemporary Native American songs in both English and Ojibwe. The album includes voices of the youth, ages 8-18, who are from many different tribal backgrounds, as they express their desire for healthy lives rooted in traditional Native American cultures.
