What started as a hunch ,some faith and a helping hand from Richard Goppy for a piano in London manifested into the simultaneously intricate and effortless sound of Dreemtime.
In 1993, Klive D'Farley walked away from his job working for an influential Investment banker and his wife in London. With tremendous support from his former boss, he taught himself to play piano and took off to the French countryside to write. After a short partnership with Phatline Publishing in London, D'Farley landed in New York City and continued to compose.
James Larsen of International Creative Management put D'Farley in touch with soul siren Maya Azucena. Drawing from musical and personal experience, the duo composed and recorded the band's first album, Dreamy, in Takuya Nakamura's Brooklyn studio. In January 2007, the twelve tracks debuted and a new genre, New York Lounge Funk, was born. Each piece unfolds into ethereal harmonies that pulse above steady Latin percussion and sexy, sophisticated electronics. Echoing of Sade, and The Brand New Heavies, the album is the perfect balance between a night out and the drive home after.
Dreamy is dedicated to Larsen, who – following a brave struggle – succumbed to cancer just two days after receiving a copy of the band's title-track.
Soon after the release, Dreemtime's 'New York Lounge Funk' genre gained global attention through radio airplay across Europe and Japan. Gray V and Hipster Music quickly initiated distribution deals and now feature the music in hotspots and hotels internationally.
Most recently, Phil Driver of Solar Radio’s famed “Soul Unsigned Label and Show” and Sweden's Kiss FM, encouraged a collaboration between Klive and Sweden's Gentleman Players that resulted in a remix of Sisco for Soul Unsigned Volume 1, released September 2008. Days after the compilation's release, it shot from #30 to #7 on Solar Radio's Sweet Rhythms Chart in the United Kingdom and continues to gain further notice and praise throughout the music industry.
"I loved Dreemtime the first time I came across them on Myspace at the back end of 2007. They are what Soul Unsigned is all about; a talented band that deserve all the support my radio show could give them," says Driver. "It was a real pleasure and an honour to be able to include the remix on the Soul Unsigned compilation."

Writes now and arranges Co Produces with Anise White. and due to start playing live globally .Klive had literally been searching for the second half the perfect musical partner for Dreemtime for years and finally search has come to a conclusion with Anise.
Anise (Joint Composer & Writer ,Lead Vocals) After numerous auditions for singers, Klive finally came face to face with Anise through Azucena. The sensual songstress has played at New York City staple venues (BB King's, CBGB's, Café Wha, Village Underground, SOB's) and toured globally. Anise wowed the audience at her sold-out Dreemtime debut at New York City's Bitter End on Friday, October 10. "That did it for me - she was in," says Klive. "Anise is the perfect Dreemtime, from head to toe, inside and out."
Klive & Anise having worked and written and recorded non stop since September 2008 are now are in the Final mixing stages with the Great East coast Mater- Bassy Bob Brockman (PRINCE-SADE-MARY J B -HERBIE HANCOCK-JAMES BROWN- to name a few.
