lovelly in so many ways
Love seems so easy in this world of music. The songs remind you of whats important, as well as creates a simple escape with the pressing of play.

this is good stuff.
I love the experimentation with different sounds, languages, beats in the songs on this album. While the CD is listed as "folky pop" I think that the songs are a mix of genres, with each a different sound from the next. There's even a fun hiphop track. A great CD to chill out too, to drive to, to walk to class to - this is good stuff

Love it.
Beautiful boy with his heart in his hands singing his music through his soul.

There are a few things you need to know about this album: An Introduction to Sex Rock is the coolest album title ever, it contains the coolest song titles ever and -- yet -- it is, indeed, a self-proclaimed aural experiment not unlike the noises and sounds presumably running through Jason Lord\'s Chicago correspondence mind.

With that in mind, Sex Rock runs the gamut from extremely rewarding Pacific Northwest indie label-esque wizard grooves (\"I Hope This Song is So Good it Reminds You of Wizards\") to bizarre, National Geographic documentary soundtrack pieces (\"Red Music Rifle\").

While this experimentation is worthy of applause, it\'s not always the most enjoyable to listen to straight-out. But the good thing about Drew Danburry\'s solo adventures -- he\'s a member of the Danburrys, naturally -- is that they all work perfectly serving as backgrounds for deep thinking and/or heavy drinking.

Sex Rock is essentially the basement rock equivalent of Benjamin Andre\'s The Love Below: It\'s all over the board -- with unnecessary interludes and all -- but what you remember are the rays of awe-inspiring brilliance poking shyly through the clouds of unfiltered genius.

Danburry is really something else -- probably from planet Melmac, actually -- but Sex Rock is still just a series of experiments and not the full-fledged album he has within him.

lets all just feel the love and sing some songs.
This album is so nice and happy, but so beautiful and deep at the same time. You can really just feel the playfulness and happyness and love and some broken hearts but not too many of those and more love than anything else just pouring out of the head of this awesome kid from Provo. Keep rockin', Drew!

Got it!
Just bought my first CD baby CD. I think I made a good choice. THANKS DREW! You rock. Come back to Ohio.
