Album Notes

The Troubadour is Drew De Four's 3rd studio album. Most of Drew's music sounds of necessity - a solo piano bar player most of his young career, his first album "Earlier Work" sounds like piano bar. "Love and Politics on a Piano" - his 2nd album - is simply Drew and a piano. The Troubadour is Drew's venture into a recording process without limitations. He employs 17 musicians on an assortment of instruments and writes in a variety of genres all united by the same voice, feel, motifs, and production sound. Drew describes the album as "the physical and metaphysical exploits of a traveling musician" and leaves it at that. The Troubadour is not a passive album, it demands your attention and entrance into a very lively, sometimes melancholy, sometimes cynical, but ultimately hopeful world of beauty.
