notes
Thanks for checking out my music. All I can say is every person I've given this CD to has purchased another one. There's singer/songwriter stuff w/just me & a guitar, some blues tunes, & even a Zydeco trac with Horace Trahan. I guess there is definately a Cajun feel to the whole thing being that I'm from Southwest Louisiana. You can definately tell I listen to a lot of Leadbelly, Woodie Guthrie, & Jimmie Rogers.
Last year (2003) I was helping my friend out as roadie . So,in the middle of a 40 city tour with Hank3 he had to get back to the court house in Texas for a day. So I played my first show in front of a pretty good Chapel Hill crowd. I figured if they liked my music & did't boo me off the stage- I'd better get a CD done.I had the good fortune of having some really talented pickers in Honky-Tonk, Cajun, Zydeco, & Blues backgrounds to help me record the album. They're 17 songs here(an hour of music). If you don't like it I'll give you your money back.
I really hate typing & don't spell that well, but hopefully I have convinced you to buy the Disc. If you like country, blues, or folk... funny, happy, & sad well written songs..This is for you. Let me know what you think good or bad. And,If you can make it, I'll be playing the Prison Rodeo October 10, 2004 at the Louisiana State Penn (Angola, La).

creative home-spun bluesy hangin' up your mind inside of me...
Creative home-spun electric, mezmerizing haunting lyrics, precise, echoing vocals, touching the soil of my soul...Brian Biddick adds the forbidden shock to Drew's soul in this CD. Listen, buy it or dry your soul... Acadiana's dirtycajuns don't sell, they melt my cold heart into growing.... or hell-bound lovin'... slam into the mystic acadiana blood zone. Lovin' Your Muzac.....JILL
musical wisdom beyond his years
author: Kathryn Pellessier-MuirDrew Landry takes you on a musical journey where few others are willing to go . The love and appreciation of the land and culture are musically played out from beginning to end with his own stamp of originality . That this CD isn't being played across this country every day is a shame . Can't wait to listen to what is coming next !
my new best friend
author: David LindThis is a great cd. Great songs, GREAT voice & just a loose, honest vibe about it. Landry's spirit & diversity remind me of the Gourds. I'm looking forward to a long summer spent in the sun with a beer in my right hand & the left one slappin a steady beat to this one...highly recommended!!!!

This guy is the real deal.
author: Reefer GirlI wanted to hear this CD ever since I read the lyrics to "Mid-South". I figured any guy that writes a tribute to Mid-South Rasslin' has to pretty ok. Boy, am I glad I ordered this CD. Every song is wonderful - there are no clunkers here. Drew Landry not only writes a great song, he's got a damn fine voice as well. If you're lookin' for the real deal, you'll find it here.
Finally !! Someone of my generation that gets it!
author: Eric LacassinThis album is the equivalent to a great gumbo, it has a little bit of everything in it. From the blues to Americana, you buy this CD and you will not be dissapointed. Oh yeah, (Break Of Day) is ,hands down, one of the best songs I've heard in a good ol' while!

All stytles of music touched on through a common and clever vernacular.
author: Rusty RolandAfter three full listens, this CD seemed to find it's way into my car, computer, home stero, and anywhere I went. It is extremely refreshing to see current artists making great music and not being tied to any of the pretentious "labels" that the corporate music world is trying to force down our throat. I loved Landry's varied taste of compositions including folk, rock, blues, country, and cajun and zydeco. He and his band are to be commended on their versitility. I particularly can't seem to get Gambling Shack out of my mind. Plus the socially conscious, Corner Store, burns an awesome message into societies current state of flux. I could go on, but all I can say is give this one a try, you won't be disappointed!
IT'S LIKE RONDEVOUS ALL OVER AGAIN
