Album Notes

Drew Mantia is an energetic, refreshing burst of classic mixed with modern. His music is crafted with the precision of an artist with a thorough knowledge of classical and jazz theory but, also, a love for the popular music format. With this knowledge he reintroduces classic elements with a modern pop-rock twist. In the summer of ‘07 Drew attracted the attention of 12 Bar Records with his two online singles, “Drama” and “Reciprocity.” Recording for his 12 Bar debut began that August, just two months after his first live performance. Since then he has been approached many times to play an array of venues and shows. A few among the many are the Central West End Art Fair and Taste Festival, Cicero’s, The Gramophone, and Six Flags. Drew claims a diversity of influences ranging from John Mayer and Stevie Wonder, to incubus and Maroon 5. His straightforward, yet insightful lyrics delve into social issues, self-empowerment, and relationships. Also described as clever and catchy, his songs deal with things that everyone can relate to. With his debut album, “Save Yourself,” dropping on November 28, 2008, Drew expects to expand his audience to a global market. Save Yourself is a solid piece of art that you will lift you up, make you happy, and cause you to think! His live performances are another great way to get a feel for his music and to be able to fully understand all its facets. Fans keep amassing - guaranteeing his success. Bio by Alex Bates
