A Rock & Roll Heart

by Driftwood

The band’s second studio release “A Rock & Roll Heart” is as honest as it can be. With very minimal studio production and an expansive sound akin to the room recordings of the 40’s and 50’s, this album is nothing short of a declaration.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
After nearly three years since the release of their last album, the anticipation surrounding the release of Driftwood’s new CD “A Rock & Roll Heart” is heavy to say the least. With an extremely busy touring schedule and only one, self recorded, self produced album as of yet, fans of the band agree that a new album is way overdue.
The band’s second studio release “A Rock & Roll Heart” is as honest as it can be. With very minimal studio production and an expansive sound akin to the room recordings of the 40’s and 50’s, the sonic quality of this album is nothing short of a declaration. These ten tracks are a testament to song. Or, if you prefer, a plea to music fans to remember that the song is a living and breathing thing. With stark, almost bare-naked arrangements, each track is laid out in its most natural form with traditional instruments such as Banjo, Guitar, Violin and Bass as a reflection of music past but also as a reminder that the way we listen to music is changing.
