Drivetime has grown from regional cover band to national power. Compared to such great bands such as Tower or Power, Drivetime brings unmatched energy to the concert stage. Fronted by Bernie Capodici who has made special appearances with such notables as Chuck Reiney, Dexter Wansel and Jonathan Cain; and has recorded with such Philadelphia luminaries as Daria & Rick Denzien. Capodici has opened for such renowned jazz artist as Sun Ra, Huge Masekela, Larry Coryell & Reverie.
With a much anticipated release"Getin' Witit" due September 2008. Keyboardist, Producer and favorite Son of smooth jazz, Bob Baldwin, is just one of the many featured guests on the CD. There is nothing more exciting in music then art for art sake, I found this CD exceptionally creative and not what you would expect from a band labeled smooth jazz, I love surprises!!! My favorite cut is Meltdown, what an interesting mix of loops, samples and live playing, it very intriguing., and so is the rest of the CD, When I listen to Movies I feel like I’m living in the future…..
