mezmorizing,growing on me - haunting me

A fascinating mix of intelligent,sometimes sparse lyrics/slick production/mellow, occ. edgy vocals.
Not really sure who I could compare him too, certainly original musical stylings.
The more I listen, the more I like it - particularly the ballads which keep humming around in my head.
Great debut CD, would definitely buy the next one.

unique style, crossing the spectrum

dr j has created a unique combination of music and lyrics which crosses the spectrum of musical style. His rich voice has excellent range which allows him to go from down-out rocking blues all the way to quieter, more introspective looks into life. He is a wizard on the piano and keyboards and winds up the harmonica to produce a refreshing instrumental mix. A "must-get" for people who appreciate music with some substance.
