This is it, the classic dr mastermind cd- ifyoure looking for some high priced collctible go away! this one as all of my music,. is for listening and learning. in fact one of the main reasons i decided to do any of the albums was to fight off high priced collectors who never open the package..
the music is teh same but.,,. included is teh only concert we ever did with the guys on the cd with drum solo by deen castronovo, gtr solos by kurt and antics(antics?) or antiques? by matt mccourt haha... these songs were MY contribution for the iwld dogs 3rd album, which at teh time was highly commercial in nature reflection the rejection from mans best friend by major labels who appeared to be more interested in how long our hair was, how tight our clothes were,
(our audience was all male- they forgot to ask how gay were we! so in my plod along tradition and my penchant for hot gtr fast and powerful music iwrote al of these songs in hopes it would set the pace for the others.. but alsa no-- wild dogs acted like i was a mirage, nblamed me for not being sexy enough, so- idid what anyone else would do- from a new band and do it on my own!- so ihad 2 badns at the same time wild dogs and EVIL GENIUS with 2 gtr players -kip doran a shenker influenced player- and jake shit from the mentors who was much like dave murray of iron maiden
i fornted the band after relaisingid have to watch umplout the hung(ken goldstein stare atme liekhe did in school while i played bass.. so once again i was delegated the lead singer action!.. in an effort to satirise the myth of the flowing locks" i decided that all of the band would wear the same longhair wigs! we affectionately refferred to te band as teh way outs as ont he famous flintosne tv show..and took limos everywhere as my pal had a service...we played the spional tap rockstar thing al the way from seattle to teh bay area!~taking in the pope of th echurch of el duce DR heathen scum(that is important a few paragraphs later(paragraphs? oh yes,,,i remember them from father Mctighe jesuit high school english- my knuckles do too!)
so.. i wirte som rat like ditties for th eband.. wilddogs and during a meeting with a potential manager learned i was being replaced by a guy-John tejeda) who was skiiny enough, and wore leopard spandx(im a studs and leather man meself) and sang like a bobcat caught in a barbwire fence(oh how i love those quotes form my fave tv show barnaby jones)and i do hope you the reade r finds this amusing as i do os stick with me---as johnny t says in get shorty"looka t me"...look at me"...ok...imreplaced- and take it on the toes call theshrpanle man miuke varney and secure a solo deal for me and teh evil genius material- one giant burden is:he doesnt want this band, and i have to change the name to NOT include Evil, change some lyrics so the PMRC wont come knocking at my door(hey tipper was ripe then- i'd do her! but i think el duce beat me to it!) and recruit deen castronovo for tony macalpine and get another guitarist(and also rewrite the lead parts to accomodate an yngwie style gtr player(tis iwas right as rising force debuted one of my all time fave records by my 2nd inline to jimi hendrix-teh great swede Yngwie.
having audition osme by phone about 6 of the area's best guitarists none were on par with the peopplke applyingto shrapnel and i was teamed up with a man im still very good friends with today Kurt james- (we had jimi in common and would jam on hendrix for hours- still do!..by the way..
we record teh album and before deeno gets on the runway with tony macalpin ehe does one gig with us- we had gargoyle open the show and used kein sanders wall of marshalls
and had mcraig lower(mayhem.poison idea) on bass..which alolowed me to jump about like a chimp on LSD and speakin an accent which came with the wig and costume i sewed by hand
hmmm sewing,jumping about like a chimp...anyways.,...
this cd represents where we all were at teh time- IN PORTLAND BOREGONZO and quite perky what with the 80's go go powder all over the place and booze flowing like water..
soit was great fun!.. and we caught it on video- so there is a dvd as well...

yes i am a bit crazy but im a one man show here so i actually will get teh cell fone(handy) and teh land line and call myself to make me feel like i'm having a conference call!~(or that i have friends as mosty all of my good ones are dead and i just havent found any suitable replacements for them.. damn cancer--
speaking of which io had to changethe name of the group... so i thought Mastermind!...becuiase im so damn smart...welooked into it and a group of snotty prog rockers got miffed so... i became every jewish mothers dream(im a catholic jew by way of tradition) I BECAME A DOCTOR.. thats how dr mastewrmind came to be.. ANMD OF COURSE MY BEST FRIEND IN THE WORLD, DR Heathen scum of th eband that DID have trhepmric on their tail-er hooded heads... the Mentors fetauring El Duce of "i was hired by courtney love to kill kurdt cobain " fame(actually a BS tabloidal offer from the star- who can turn down$2500 bucks right?)
Scum is actually a genius...he does have a phd ini engineering! so ithoughtg i wanna be just like him- so..
to clear any misconceptions im not a surgical DR im an esoteric brainiac inventor type of DR and full of the whimsy it takes to write this blag my dear reader...howeve rmy typist and sexretary has taken leave and again im on my own- damn the postman he MUST have rung someone twice all sheleft was note."you are too precoccupied with your work dr m, all you do is play music, write songs and in so many different gendres i cant keep up and you dont pay any attention to me.. im leaving with joe the mail man...(i thought it funny how the mailbox was in the spare bedroom.....
