The breakthrough album project for matt mccourt as composer. arranger, and musician came about during a 6 year period in which teh songs that appeared on the original 1986 release had been recorded -redone revamped re created and with a host of players- that continued AFTER the release
with sevral groups matt had access to and teh original guitarist for evil genius the name was changed to pacify producer mike varney and to appease his fear of tipper gore's wrath after completing the album "fuck like a beast ffor W.A.S.P. on teh capitol label he and others like him were wanted men(see vh1 for the whole story on that.....)
here we are glorious outtakes from some great players including poison idea members in the form ofMayhem who backed mccourt in 1985, Kevin sanders/Pat Lachman of (damageplan/halford, (gargoyle/meathook)fame on a demo that may have been the Next mastermind album in 1988
some of these tapes were found in studios, in boxes or wherever and broughtback to life once we opened the studios up and started mastering stuff" so if ya like the one of a kind outtakes and in the case of boris haranki from teh netehrlands via fla.we met online when he was in search of a dr masterminmd album
he started sending me music to sing on which i always welcome and he is awesome on gtr and bass .. as you can see he recreated mostof the 1986 album all by himself to audition for me!.. the next dr mastermind album has a guy from florida that shreds- must be a good place for gtr!...
limited run when 100 are gone its history! matt

Amazing recapitulation of the 1980's monster LP. The new songs are fantastic, old stuff still great. Unfortunately no pics of Dr. Mastermind in his metal garb and lame-ass canvas deck shoes (see old cover).
