Not surprisingly, Backwoodz Studioz have delivered yet again. You can't go wrong w/ anyone on the label, and Monokromes' beats have always been my favorite for these cats to spit over. A double EP is genius, and as you can imagine, neither one disappoints. Because of the conceptual qualities of the albums, it does lack a certain sense of variety apparent on other Backwoodz releases, which is the only reason it gets 4 stars.

Great CD. Awesome production, outstanding vocals. Thrill and Billy woods are the best duo since Black Star. Billy Woods is at the top of his game (buy The Chalice while your at it); but is matched by some amazing production and great lyrics. Buy this CD now, it won't be challenged this year.

if you don't know about backwoodz studioz, this is a good place to start ("like a razor blade and some hard bass").. this double EP features 3 of the hottest underground emcees, being priviledge on the N.P.R. disc and billy woods and thrill gates on the M.A.D. disc.. my favorite wun is M.A.D. cuz woods is INSANE on the mic, and the chemistry between him and thrill gates is on point.. dr. monokrome's production is very dense and complex (like most of aerotaxi's tracks), but dark and grimey, to fit the lyricz.. check how sick his samples are!! basically, if you dig hard beats, real lyricz, and str8 for the jugular type of flowz, then COP THIS and check out the other releases...
