Album Notes

The Beast was of immeasurable proportion. On our first meeting what we witnessed was something beyond what we could consciously recognize at the time. Within each of us we could feel its tremendous energy when we heard it, a combination of synchronicity and mystery. We felt overwhelmed, almost controlled by it when we were to be the intended masters. Who breathed life into whom? Where did this energy force originate? Has this creature always been here, only now, looking into the specter of the infinite, we are able to see a glimpse? Its ideas were far-reaching and ideals far-fetched. As time has gone on, just over a year now, it continues to grow, mutate, and feed from its surrounding environment: New York City, a source that serves as a reflection of its past as well as a mirror to its future. It is here where the animal can innovate and discover his spirit through the struggles and strife of city life, honing it to the fine blade of a saber.

As for us, we're the team of specialists organized to look after the Beast. Our name is Doctor Oscillator. What, at first, we considered to be a "chance" gathering, we now realize was this animal's strength drawing us together. We're here to nurture it, ride along on its adventures and follow the direction it wants to travel in the vast space of sound and time.
