Dr Pickup, from Paris, has been making a ruckus on the French blues scene for over a decade. Led by guitarist/singer/songwriter Bruce Stringkiller, this rockin' trio plays a songlist of both their own compositions and classics in the Texas and Chicago traditions.

Dr Pickup's new album, "Cruising on the Border", is an all-original set peppered with stylistic nods to SRV, the 3 Kings (Freddie, B.B., Albert) as well as masters of the British style. They are a blast in person and, for that reason, over half of the cuts on "Cruising" are live (in Europe) recordings.

If you live in the Southeastern USA, you might have seen the energetic Dr Pickup (actually Bruce Stringkiller himself) performing on one of his annual tours with pal Shrimp City Slim. Strap yourself in for a sizzling introduction to Parisian blues!
