Album Notes

These first edition prints are numbered, one of a kind pieces.
After this limited initial run, we will switch to a more traditional print, though still assembled by hand.
Thanks to Michael Lund for the original artwork.

Drunken Prayer...with Sam Henry is a product of serendipity: performed in the parking lot of Centaur Guitar as part of the legendary music store's summer concert series, recorded randomly by Rich Peterson of Peregrine Sound Recording and released at a time when a hungry, cultish fan base is clamoring for a new Drunken Prayer release.
The set is a tight, rough-hewn and ballsy rendition of 6 songs: 3 from Drunken Prayer's debut album and 3 to be released on their next studio project.
The band is a 3 piece: Morgan Saint Christopher on vocals and guitar through a borrowed Marshall stack, Miss Audra adding back-up vocals, playing piano and organ, and featuring the venerable Sam Henry (The Wipers, Napalm Beach) on drums. The result is an aggressive cross of Motorhead, Dead Moon and The Band: a roots noir attack.
Sam Henry has never appeared on any Drunken Prayer studio albums. We are lucky to have this is recording as evidence of their extraordinary partnership.
