ABOUT THE CD: SUNSET KEY
Sunset Key features fourteen original compositions ranging from contemporary jazz to fusion along with some Latin grooves to spice things up a bit. There's also great cover of Elton John's "Don't Let The Sun Go Down on Me" and - best of all - an amazing guest performance on the title track featuring Russ Freeman of The Rippingtons.

Sunset Key is dedicated to the spirit and lasting memory of the artist's cousin Margaux Grossman. Many of the compositions worthy of her inspiration appear on this CD and are available online. These songs are more than an attempt to capture her beauty and unique outlook on life; rather, they represent a higher level of communication by and between cousins.

How You Can Make A Difference...
All of the profits generated from the sale, broadcast and performance of these recordings will be donated to the Margaux's Miracle Foundation, a not for profit corporation, established to provide and publish the results of research seeking to test and improve upon complementary treatments for cancer patients.

Do yourself a favor and wear headphones with this album - it's a mental massage.
I love this album. It has so many colors and flavors it is impossible to categorize. Yes, it's Jazz but then it's not. I love the fact that this artist has given the listener 14 original tunes instead of going cover crazy. However, the one cover tune he chose is amazing. Elton Johns' "Don't let the sun go down on me" It's the last track on the album. It is the best cover of it I have ever heard, truly a masterful arrangement. Every time I listen to it, the sound changes and I hear different instruments that I didn't think were there before. Do yourself a favor and wear headphones with this album it's a mental massage. I'll report back on the other tracks later.

Refreshing, relaxing and all-around smooth mixes
There's a little bit of everything in hear. Great compositions that are driving, ambient, groovy and totally accessible. Good for road trips, entertaining friends at home, snuggling up with that special person, or a great Sunday Brunch. If you're into great performances, they're pretty tasty and in here. Enjoy it....I do!

Sexy, Hot, Smooth and Soulful
I'm not one to review CDs in public - but I had to speak up regarding Mssr. Ruttenberg's SUNSET KEY. Not only does the composer do his part to help fund a cure for pediatric cancer, he knocks it out of the park when it comes to catchy melodies, killer grooves and great production.

I spend my day working for a noted label - so I hear it all (from the good to the bad). This guy tears it up and I'll certainly look forward to his next CD - which I'm told should be available any day now.

Do yourself a favor - as one of the other reviewers so eloquently put it: get this CD and behold the magic of Sunset Key.

A great mix of latin, fusion and smooth jazz. Highly recommended.
I bought the CD on the recommendation of a friend who knows of the artist's philanthropic contributions to help fight pediatric cancer. I was impressed at the well crafted songs, the myriad of grooves and the great sonic mix. Too, Russ Freeman's appearance on the title track and a great rendition of Elton John's Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me - really round out a great performance. Worth every penny and a great buy!

beautiful ranging melodies by a new artist
Mr. Ruttenberg has mostly been in the background working with artists such as The Rippingtons near his hometown of Boca Raton, Florida. A graduate of Univ. of Miami school of Music and an accomplished software engineer as well as musician, Ruttenberg has shown his ability to stand on his own as an artist of significance
