Donald Sheffey
Biography

Donald Sheffey has a dream - a dream to put the fun back into dance music, the feeling back into a love song, and a story back into a ballad.

Moving to New York City in 1999 to pursue a career as a singer and songwriter, Donald is gaining valuable experience in many areas of the entertainment industry: sales, marketing, management, voice-overs, writing, singing and modeling. In 2000 Donald landed a national spot for Mars, Incorporated's Twix Candy Bar as the "Smooth-n-Nutty Peanut Butter Guy." Since then, other pieces of work included spots with the U.S. Army, Mattel's Barbie, and Ford Motor Company, to name a few. Donald was also fortunate to have written and recorded the title song for the off-Broadway show, "The Mammy Project."

Donald enjoys and respects the talent he's been fortunately given, this showing in the energy he puts forward in every performance and corroboration. Some artists he recently had the pleasure of working with include Angie Stone, Ashford & Simpson, Freddie Jackson, Phyllis Hyman, Patti LaBelle, Brian Jackson, John Forte and Carly Simon. He's drawing upon the experience of working with these talented artists in creating his own adult contemporary rhythm and blues CD, scheduled for exclusive release in 2005.

Donald is also focusing on establishing Weezie Productions, his production company that enlists a team of very talented and creative people having original ideas and a love of music. Additionally, like Donald, these new artists respect their craft and are responsible for the message they convey. Each believes that, as an artist, they have an incredible opportunity to foster and create positive change, influencing the important direction of the arts and entertainment industry, as well as the world around them.

Confidence, originality, panache and respect play a huge role in Donald's personal and professional life as an artist, singer and producer. He brings these characteristics and other admired principles to Weezie Productions in further developing this secreted but soon to be well-known jewel and resource of the arts and entertainment industry.
