Orquesta D'Soul is an 8 piece predominantly female salsa/hip hop band based out of San Francisco.

Music contains energetic piano montunos, fat funk bass lines, Sax and trumpet arrangements along with the driving mixture of salsa and funk rhythms from percussion and drum set.

The Hip hop feel is kept alive by D.J. Mayhem from S.F.

    This is a great cleaning the house, driving the car, bopping about CD. The songs are varied yet each one has it's own charm. I heard the CD in a store and asked the sales person who it was. I checked with about 5 stores before finding it. Some of it sounds like an early version of Santana! Good stuff!

    Very nice CD!! Pretty good arrangements. And the songs are good too. Nice mix of Salsa and Latin Pop. The salsa are more of a latin pop salsa but makes you dance. Percussion is a little wild on this one and the vocals are good but sometimes peaks a little of. Mix & master is ok Overall ....Good CD!!

    when you listen to KCSM all day it will frequently happen that you hear a tune that makes you stop and pay attention, orquesta d'soul is one of those groups. When you catch them on a "hot night" it will stay with you for days. I have sent your CD to my brother in law in Switzerland and they are absolutely positively nuts about it (you)... GO TOUR EUROPE
