ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
It's funk kicked in the face twice! It's metal but not nu. It's punk but not pop. This unique Detroit trio mixes up punk, funk and metal that's a cross between the Dead Kennedys meet the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Tenacious D in the heavy metal parking lot. Add a hyperactive live show that has the band packing clubs wherever they play.
Downtown Brown is: Neil P.: Guitar/Vocals-Wolf: Bass-Pip: Drums
Testimonials:
"The Detroit band's platter is chock full of creativity, catchy grooves, complete insanity, and outrageous fun."-Metal USA
"This stuff ROCKS! They give the Red Hot Chili Peppers some competition."- Jam Rag
"They have made their mark around town with their high-energy, funk-driven, punk-rockin' oddball anthems"-Local Band Spotlight, Real Detroit
"I discovered the Motor City madness of Downtown Brown. DTB compact all the energy of a massive arena tour (crowds and all) into each high-voltage performance.-RB,Real D
"Their explosive, high-octane live performances seem more like a house party gone wrong then just your average gig."-Altarnative.com
"A little scary, a little strange, but always LOUD!"-Local Detroit
"Decent high-energy punk/funk/metal with a sense of humor"-Punk Planet
"The CD blasts out of your stereo with some of the most humorous tunes I've heard in quite awhile; these guys play their own brand of music."-Skratch Magazine
"If you want to see some really pumped-up rock n' roll then go see a Downtown Brown show, these guys are out there having fun, and that's what this music thing is all about."-Spazman, Jam Rag
"The speed and heaviness of metal with the giddy, carefree, attitude of punk and funk. There's always something around the next turn that keeps you on your feet the whole time."-Michiganbands.com
"This disc is a wild bouillabaisse stew of musical genres, with songs shifting gears like it's the Indie 500."-Caustic Truths
"This trio brings up memories of a heavy-metal sublime...on crack!"-The Glass Eye
"The musical equivalent of Jackass"-Michiganbands.com
"Goofy as hell, sexxy with two xs and as engrossing as a true rock n' roll album can get, you'll be left with one dominating impression; thank God, a band that actually gets it."-Ryan Bartek, Real Detroit
