Album Notes

Duane grew up in the L.A. area in a house full of music. Getting his first guitar at age 12, he practiced every chance he got. Beatles, Cream, Hendrix, Steely Dan, Robin Trower, Led Zepplin, Uriah Heep, among a long list of others were some influences. Duane played in a few rock groups around the Houston Texas area covering ZZTop , Allman Bros., Skynard, and a few more Southern Rock groups. Playing at parties and gatherings and occasionally helping out friends at gigs, plus learning to play new instruments as well as doing some writing was also how a lot of his time was spent during those years.
Using a simple Yamaha AW16g “studio in a box” along with the latest Pro-Tools, Duane created some top notch tunes playing all of his own instruments.

Duane’s music is filled with some tasty flavor in the style of Eric Clapton with “Steely Dan tendencies”.
Duane’s songs will capture your attention immediately with his special touch on guitar and fine vocals. His songs are filled with personal experiences and challenges that he reflects through his playing and singing. He is a modern minstrel who shares those musical images in some well-crafted lyrics and clever progressions. His vocals have a mellow feel yet inviting quality and he kicks out some fine tripping out guitar grooves too!
Now, it’s time to get back out there and just do what feels good. Do some live gigs and introduce to the world some great new original tunes. …………“It’s time to show them what I’ve got”.

I made Flock Of Tunes with everybody in mind trying to please the masses with a little something for one and all. Each and every song is different in it's own style. From Rock to Ballad to Acoustic to Blues to Country it's all there.
I use mostly Carvin Guitars, Fender Deluxe amp, Ken Smith 5-str Bass, Ampeg amp, Gibson Mandolin, Boss GT-3 processor, Dr-Rhythm, Yamaha AW16g.

Special thanks to Keith Brown (harp) on Say What you Mean
