Duane has written songs intermittently since 1993. His first endeavor as a songwriter was in a band called Ayre. After the dissolution of that band in 1998 Duane took a break from songwriting. In 2002 Duane produced a demo of original songs entitled "Your Eyes." Shortly afterwards he took another break, planning not to return to songwriting. Finally, in 2006 following an unexpected inspiration, Duane tried his hand once again at songwriting. Duane knew what he wanted as a songwriter at this point and began to carefully craft songs. This time Duane really found his sound, and songwriting is now an integral part of his musical life. He incorporates his formidable music experience and a love of strong lyrical writing, and crafts a selection of songs that captures the essence of songwriting.
