notes
"DUB STATION is undoubtedly one of the most important bands in the U.S. reggae scene" - Reggae Time: Italian Website. So too, says Tom Orr, author of the BEAT Magazine article defining the top North American reggae projects. There is more background and press information via the label's website www.Reggae4i.com.
After winning all the available awards and performing all the regional venues, Dub Station has traveled to Canada, south to the Carolina's, and west, to Texas, backing domestically based & Jamaican touring artists which have included Mikey Dread, Frankie Paul, Wayne Wonder, Lady Saw, Shinehead, Junior Kelly and many more. In the studio, Dub Station has applied the highest production standards, including the involvement of Grammy-touched producer Dia Fearon in a compilation of some (but not all) of the group's nearest and dearest fellow artists.
The goal is to present a current version of the Rastafarian messages, including peace and self-reflection, in order to keep that "oral gospel" alive, keeping the faith and inspiration for a new generation. This album's a landmark and sets a standard for all future work by Dub Station and the artists featured. Look for more, new releases and collaborations with Jamaican artist ABIJAH.
