What the heck's Duck Logic Comedy? A reasonable question.
Duck Logic was formed from graduates of The Players Workshop of The Second City in Chicago. A string of "hits" on Dr. Demento (like "It's The Real World After All" & "Joe, The Love Potato") helped land us our own radio show, and since then we've played an 1000's of live sets in comedy clubs in and around the greater Chicagoland area.
Our radio show on WLUP-AM was called "The Duck Logic Comedy Cavalcade." We had a second show on WLUP-FM called "Duck Logic Theater." We had our own TV show on Centel Cable called "Cableville, USA," an episode of which aired on PBS Ch 11's "Image Union." We've made commercials for both radio and TV. We wrote a book based on our popular character Joe, The Love Potato titled "Learn To Be A Man Again." We wrote and were segment producers for Jonathan Brandmeier's "Johnny B on TV" for NBC, and we wrote and starred in a comedy revue at The Theatre Building in Chiacgo.
We've been referred to as "iconoclastic" and "the cream of a bumper crop" of comedy groups by reviewers in Chicagoland.
This year saw the start of the Duck Logic Comedy website, offering a blog, free ecards and new audio and video downloads (almost) every two weeks.
And now… Duck Logic Comedy presents: Holiday Hokum. 'Cuz that's just the way we're swingin' this season.
The alternate versions of the songs are basically the same except there are a few words "squeaked" out here and there. We're not being what folks call explicit, or dirty, we're not rappers after all, but we wanted to make sure everyone who wants to could listen to these little holiday nuggets, so we've "squeaked" out any word that might even be potentially objectionable to more sensitive listeners. If that's not you, then just go for the main eight. In three of the alternates that's just a word or two, in "The Fruitcake Song (I Hate Fruitcake) however there are ten, and we have to admit, it's almost funnier that way.
