Duff Watrous has been writing songs for most of his life, he claims influence by The Beatles, Crosby, Stills and Nash, Jackson Browne, Paul Simon, and all the great classic rockers, as well as Big Band, Bach and Mozart. The son of a big band leader, Duff began singing as a child in youth choirs and started piano lessons at age 5. He went on to study guitar as well as drums. He majored in Music Composition at UCLA where he was also featured as a soloist with the Men’s Glee Club. “History In The Waking” is his first solo release containing heartfelt and moving personal stories in a classic rock style.
