New York City Blues is a funkier, harder hitting style of blues.

It is a mixture of traditional blues forms and ideas mixed with jazz, funk, and r&b, with a little country thrown in just for fun.

Jerry Dugger is a veteran of the New York City blues scene. He has studied at the feet of the New York City blues elite,and has earned their respect as a powerful singer and bandleader.

He is constantly in demand as a touring backing musician and vocalist and is currently on an extensive tour of Europe with the great New Orleans singer songwriter Andy J. Forest.

In the early eighties he was part of the seminal jump-blues ensemble The Worms, since credited with initiating the musical careers of Blues Traveler,The Spin Doctors and Joan Osborne.

As a writer he has embraced the stylings of Willie Dixon, Big Joe Turner, Ray Charles, and KebMO,keeping things simple and to the point.

Guardian Angel is his way of saying thank you to everyone that has made his career as a musician possible. He knows that without the love and support of these very special people that what he does would be impossible to do.

Jerry Dugger loves what he does, and you can hear it in every note he sings. He gets straight to the point and wastes no time getting to the heart of the groove.
