The Dunes is a badass 5-piece band dedicated to upholding the rock n roll traditions of rebellion, outspokenness and musical power. Starting with the pumping rhythm of Jeff "Dr. Bass" Schuyler on bass and Joey Proffitt on drums, The Dunes pay homage to the legends of rock with a foundation of mean beats and original riffs. Mark "The Medicine" Williams on guitar and Chris Leonard on trumpet provide both rhythm and often conversational leads to the vocals and guitar of frontman Daniel Pravda. The Dunes' sound features plenty of crunch and dirt on top of its habitual groove and fearless lyrics. The Dunes has performed in many cities in the East, from Norfolk to New York, from Cape Hatteras to Washington, DC. Scroll My Knob Records released the band’s first full-length CD, "Spirits of the Revolution," in 2006, and the brand new "A Lie Called Progress", a soon-to-be legendary collection of new material including "Blame Someone Else" and "Amenica". The Dunes is featured online at CDBaby, GarageBand, and MySpace. For show information, check our schedule.
