Album Notes

The 3rd full length album From Houston garage pop trio dUNETX rocks! The latest CD "Goldenarm",picks up where the bands live show leaves off; peak and valley dynamics, accented with lots of catchy hooks."Goldenarm" combines power pop with garage rock and fuzz guitar to boot. With the help of engineer Steve Ames(ZZ Top,Kings X,and Moving Sidewalks),"Goldenarm" has captured the intensity of the bands live sound. dUNETX has toured and played shows with great bands like Goo Goo Dolls,The Lemonheads,Violent Femmes, and Local H.
If your a fan of Weezer,Beach Boys,or Green Day... you might dig dUNETX. Listen to some clips and find out for yourself.

"If the beach boys decided to hang in darker more urban clime".........

Has a kinda alt-Brian Wilson kinda vibe. Memorable melody impressively sung so high. Compact and succinct, well crafted indie-pop.

-CMJ

Throw some "Gardening at Night"-era R.E.M. and Billy
Joel's "It's Still Rock And Roll To Me," mix with some happy
Eighties pop, some Weezer, a smidgen of The Beach Boys,
and some early Nineties indie rock -- specifically Smashing
Pumpkins' Gish and maybe some Fig Dish, Bob Mould,
and Blake Babies -- and you get a glimpse of what duneTX
sounds like. Goldenarm might very well be this summer's
party record -- I can't imagine college kids across the nation not having this on at some point during the day.

Golden Arm demontrates power pop at its best

DuneTX is truley a remarkable indie band with catchy beats and a great listener vibe. Golden Arm demontrates power pop at its best with songs like "Hush Hush Club" but never skims on the rock in songs like "Go." Picture summer days at the beach while hanging with your closest buddies and you will imagine the kind of groovy party Golden Arm brings to the table.

Good driving rock with pop-ular sensibility

I was was pleasantly surprised at this CD: it is good driving and upbeat rock but retains a pop-ular sensibility (read: it's cool and listenable but not 'pop' in terms of it being a sellout). It's got some great upbeat rock like GO and stuff a little less hard but no less good like Hush Hush Club. Despite everything else, the CD as a whole is catchy and I'm sure it'll do well with the CD buying public. Great job guys!

I bought this CD and then went on a long road trip to Nashville. It is the best CD to listen to when driving a long distance. Goldenarm is also a great CD to put on when you have a party...catchy tunes, fabulous lyrics, and the singer has the sexiest voice!
