Album Notes

James Dunn will release his third studio album, titled “The Bed We Made” on July 20th. The album is the follow up to his 2008 record, “The Long Ride Home”, which drew praise in the Americana press in both the US and Europe and landed a number of Dunn’s songs on television networks, including ESPN, TNT, A&E and FOX Sports. The new songs take hard looks at crumbling relationships within a home and the struggle to hold onto those relationships. Anchored by dark themes, “The Bed We Made” finds Dunn exploring new musical ground with numerous tracks, and also turning out rockers that add to his growing catalog of songs.

Recorded at Nashville’s TrueTone Studios in Nashville with producer Brian Layson (Will Hoge, Dierks Bentley) and mixed by Jason Gantt, the new album brings a fresh new sound to Dunn’s music while retaining his signature roots rock sound.

With a growing fan base in the US and Europe, Dunn spent the large part of 2008 and 2009 touring and writing songs that would deliver a new album that reflected where he was both personally and musically. “This album has a dark center with songs like Keeping Score, Slipped Away and The Bed We Made, but it’s complemented by other songs that I feel give the listener a complete picture of where I am as a songwriter and artist. I think the production is by far, the best I’ve had to date, and I’m looking forward to getting the music out there.”

Dunn will be touring in support of the album in late 2010, details will be listed at www.jamesdunnmusic.com
