Album Notes

On our newest release, "Good Lads Gone Bad", you will get quite the eclectic mix of Celtic Rock to satisfy a bit of everyone's appetite. From our biggest pub hits-drinking whiskey-stand up and shout songs like "Oh What The Hell", "3 Pints Out the Door", and "Jay Walkin' Sums -a- Biches"; along with a touch of Irish history on "Brendan's Sails"; to our power-pop stylings of "Big Talking Tommy O'Neil" and "Good Lads Gone Bad"; together with songs of personal pain in "Train Wreck" and "Sorrow"; a wild mix of traditional Irish and jazz in "I Am Stretched On Your Grave"; a bit of soulful pop in "Too Many Sins To Mention"; a dramatic instrumental in "Farewell Sons and Fathers"; and the beautiful-cry-in-your-beer closer of "The Parting Glass". It's all here written and contributed by the members of The DURTY NELLYS. This is just bit of a sampling of the many original songs written by Tim, Dave, Mick, Charlotte, and Kevin - much more is yet to come. You'll want to play this CD over and over again and soon you'll find yourself in the pubs singing and shouting along with The DURTY NELLYS where it's always a wild good time and great craic!
