Album Notes

It´s tough to say whether Dusty Trip is punk-rock or psychobilly. But one thing is for sure: this Madrid band´s first release proves that recording, producing and editing yourself doesn´t mean you have to sacrifice quality, especially when you throw lots of talent and TLC into the mix.

Dusty Trip takes us for a ride through many styles, like cruising the desert in a convertible in a classic road movie: 50´s rock and roll with new wave sound; psycho-punk, racing along, or with brakes screeching; a slightly sinister feel, with a nod to instrumental surf and another to acoustic country, which simply add the icing on this very promising cake.

Hard and sweet, refreshing and highly recommended. Dusty Fun.

Dusty Trip is:

Carlos del Pino: composer, lead guitar and vocals. This musicologist has been driving his fans crazy for years in groups such as Leyenda Negra and Katar.sys. With his motto: “Die standing, but never live on your knees,” he swears he´d never force a smile or kiss up to get a recording contract. This surprising guitarist with his powerful voice leaves no one indifferent.

Javier Vicious Cano: Everyone knows this bass player as “Vicious.” The list of groups he has worked with could go on for pages (La Guardia, Manolo Tena, Big Black Mariah, etc.) He is, most certainly, one of the best bass players to set foot on the Iberian peninsula. A true rhythmic genius, he oozes exquisite sensitivity and creativity in every note he plays.

Javier Garcia: This drummer drives one of the hardest beats imaginable. His youth channels through his drumsticks and creates the force of several freight trains bearing down. He´s already completed 2 Mexico tours with his other group Checkers, and has signed on with Dusty Trip to give a good dose of adrenaline to any ear that happens across his path.
