Album Notes

“Bonnie & Clyde on the one”
Written and played by Edwin Van Huik - Produced & engineered by Edwin
Van Huik and Edgar T.
Recorded at P-Funk Lab Systems Holland - Published by The Bass Connection BV

All piccolo-, tenor-, bass and regular guitars are played real time.
This part of my music with a “telephone sounding bass & guitar battle intro” is coming out of the centre of my heart and bones. The ‘fompy’ intro was already recorded 10 years ago on the sofa in the living room, just going straight ahead into a mono cassette deck. The greasy second part was recorded last year. I had lyrics but...
All my music is dedicated to my father, Eduard Van Huik, who always helped me with everything. He past away in 1982.

“Me and Freddie”

“While noodling around on the piano and at the same time sipping a beer from a well known Dutch brewery (first name of the founder is ”Freddie”) I wrote this tune. So I decided to call it “Me and Freddie”, because I cannot take credits for this composition alone. It was recorded early 2005 together with my close friend Sebastiaan Cornelissen and a blistering Richard Hallebeek on guitars.
Guests on the album include Gerard Presencer, Randy Brecker, Susan Weinert, Martin Verdonk and Lale Larson.” www.fransvollink.com

“Mr. Blue”

This song, sung by René Klein is very special. René suffered from AIDS and was the first to speak about this on Dutch television (Paul de Leeuw show). René’s voice sounds weak. When the song was recorded he was already very ill and hardly had the strenght to sing.
From the sales of this cd we will spent some money to the AIDS fund.
