Album Notes

Formed around the songwriting of two life long friends, Dutch henry is an Americana/Alt. Country band from West Michigan. This is a guitar band that embraces their Midwest roots, staying true to the joy that comes from playing this music live, and unique in the fact that they can really play their instruments.

Drawing its name from a character in the Jimmy Stewart movie "Winchester '73", Dutch Henry was raised on traditional country music. The fater of one of its members played bass on the cult country classic 'Psycho' by Jack Kittle.

With fine songwriting from all of its members and a tight energetic live show, Dutch Henry is poised to become an important player in the cause of alternative country.

If you like the Bottle Rockets, then you're gonna like these guys. Honestly, they sound so much like BR that if I didn't know what disc was in my player the first time I heard this, I would've thought it was Brian and the boys. Every tune is strong, with my only complaint being that this debut is very short cutting in at just under 30 minutes. There's no filler, that's for sure. It's still very highly recomended.
