Album Notes

Dwayne Ford was born in Edmonton, Alberta on October 7th, 1949 to American parents. Dwayne has dual nationality and regards that distinction as his most valuable.

At the age of five, he began piano lessons, and has been a professional musician since the age of 16. Dwayne Ford is a talented and accomplished composer and musician who has written, performed and recorded with some of the music industry's biggest names including David Foster, the band ‘TOTO’, Donovan, and countless producers and musicians.

\Dwayne has won awards from The American Song festival, The Tokyo Music Festival, and six awards from the SOCAN. A founding member of the band Atkinson, Danko and Ford (which would become Bearfoot), Dwayne recorded five albums for CBS, producing the last one himself. (it is now a collector’s item thanks to the names appearing on the album). “Bearfoot” was nominated for a JUNO award, and shortly thereafter Dwayne arranged and co-produced a million selling record called “From New York to L.A.” for Canadian songstress Patsy Gallant.

From 1987 to June of 2001, Dwayne was living and performing in southern California. He then moved back to Edmonton, declared Alberta residency, and built a new recording facility with a view toward film scoring and music composition. He is currently writing songs for his next project.

REVIEWS

Excellent Progressive Adult Contemporary CD!
author: RadioIndy.com
Dwayne Ford brings a professional resume to his album "Some Day". It is largely progressive adult contemporary, but is vast in it's style and influence. You'll hear elements of jazz, blues, classical, and contemporary to name a few. Mr. Ford's vocals are strong, passionate, and appropriate for the concept of the sound. The arrangements are high-caliber and the production quality is top notch. Highlights are the cover of "Scarborough Fair", a creative and interesting take on a classic. "10 Years on the Inside" features some great guitar work and nice harmony in the vocals. "No Prayer" is a nice little jazzy/bluesy number with strong vocals and lyrics. If you like Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins, you will like this one.
